Buddha und Gelassenheit! Gold und Weiß! Hineinzoomen !Wat Arun Temple – Bangkok.A must see when you visit , Bangkok. The intricate design and carving are breathtaking especially since it is sparkling white.Built during the Ayutthaya period in Khmer-style, Wat Arun is situated on the west (Thonburi) bank of the majestic Chao Phraya River. Its design, so different to most temples in Thailand, makes it one of the most stunning attractions in Bangkok, particularly special when viewed at sunset. The imposing central spire is over 70 meters high, and from its highest point there are superb views across the river to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho.

What Moraine lake was for my Canada vacation in 2015 (see fihttps://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/24189119224) , Geiranger fjord is for my Norway trip in 2016. Stunning views all around that forced me to use all my lenses, go to different places in different weather situations and times of the day. And as a result numerous shots to post (this one I already did earlier www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/29793266685/). This shot was made on the 10th day when I arrived for the first time and the sky started to open up. I took this shot with a 50 mm lens, and a 2x tele-converter to crop the landscape, and focus on the 7 sisters (waterfalls) that caught the light in a neat way. In a way this pic has resemblances to www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/23168079499, where I also used a non wide angle lens to crop the landscape and show the immensity of the dimensions. And secondly, I had to stitch two pictures to create this image.Norway, a stunningly beautiful country. Around every corner a chance for a scenic image, forcing me from time to time to stop every kilometer to get out of my car, sometimes with screeching brakes, and sometimes forcing me to curse because there was no place to stop.Lovely valleys, bare mountains and cold winds, snow packs, glaciers, beautiful lakes, and then there are the enchanting fjords that never stop to amaze. The most beautiful country of Europe, for me no doubt about that, with only one minor aspect, which is the weather. During my month of traveling I only had 4 really nice days, the rest of the time clouds, rain, and very changeable! Still no regret, and I will go back to make even more than the 3500 pictures that I took this time.Another very active vacation that took me to the south west up to Trondheim in a sort of triangle between Oslo- Trondheim and Bergen with the whole route visible here (www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153668247101759&set…).
